3 tips for sounding like a native speaker

The best way to learn how to talk like a native speaker is living in an English speaking country but, if it's not our case, we will have to spend a lot of time practicing it. The first tip is connecting words, that is to say words fastly and straighway as long as they sound fluently and naturally (connect consonants or vowels, blend letters,...). The second tip is squeezing some words, for example, we would pronounce the word "comfortable" like this: "comf/ta/b.l". And the last tip is squeezing some letters, as for example "tr" that sound like "chr", "dr" sound like "jr" and "dy" sound like "j".

Opinion essay

Nowadays, the type of comunication which is most recognized is communication through tehnology. But, in my opinion, this progress has destroyed one of the most important values that exists: human relationships.
Firstly, I have to admit it's some comfortable or practical to chat to someone through social networks, I mean, through a screen; especially if the person who's talking to us lives far. But, as a result, we've lost the real conversation with the person who we want to be in touch with.
Moreover, when we're talking to smeone through WhatsApp, Skype or some applications like these, it's more likely that we lie, because the person who's taking to us can't know what is really happening in our life and we can explain whatever we want.
As I see it, some people can talk or act differently when they use technology. For this reason I believe in real meetings, real conversations and spontaneous chats with laughs and confidence. This is the best way to be in touch with people!

At this moment, this admirable girl has new goals, motivations and projects. Hi Nicole,

Hou are you? Next week is Marta's birthday, so I'm writing you because I want to prepare something special for her and I would like you to help me.

As we know, Marta adores horses. She'd practiced horse ball for 10 years! So, I've been thinking that we could organize and event on the riding club. What do you reckon?

We could invite our language school friends. The party could begin at 18:00, and we could have a snack with cookies and juices. Then, I would like to organize some activities with horses (Marta will love it!). For example a gymkhana, or a little waking,... The people who are scared of horses can do other tings: staying in the riding club playing area, looking at us while we're riding horses,...

I think it would be a good plan. But I want to know your opinion about it or if you have any other idea to celebrate Marta's birthday.

I'll be looking forward to your answer,

Kisses
